When the diameter fits into the corresponding gauge slot, it indicates king pin wear
King Pin Height and Verticality Check:Place the notched ends of the gauge over the grooves of the king pin. If it does not fit, the king pin height is incorrect. Rotate the gauge 360° around the king pin to check the verticality of the king pin relative to the base plate
